Student Life Assistant (PT) – Student Affairs
Effective immediately: (PT) Student Life Assistant in the Student Affairs Department – New Castle.
Requirements: A high school degree or equivalent is required. An associate's degree is preferred. Successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in higher education and/or event planning is preferred. Must have excellent communication, customer service, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Must be detail-oriented and able to work with diverse populations. Must be self-directed and able to make decisions independently. Must be a cooperative team player. Should have the ability to multi-task, work independently, and be creative/innovative. Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office products and social networking sites (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, etc.). Experience with Photoshop and other design software. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in any situation is a must.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Plan student learning/development activities and programs relating to leadership development and civic engagement (i.e. service learning projects, cultural awareness programs, leadership development, community service projects, etc.) that will promote student learning, personal growth and development. Coordinate all tasks associated with these activities/programs such as marketing/advertising, operations, assessment/evaluation, and supervising activity/program.
Assist with student activities/events at all sites as needed.
Responsible for developing fliers and marketing materials for all Student Life events.
Oversee the survey and data collection processes.
Perform other duties which may be assigned by the Student Life Coordinator.
Hours of Employment: Monday – Friday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. (Incumbent may be asked to be flexible with their hours and/or schedule. Some nights and/or weekends may be required. Travel may also be required.)
Salary: Commensurate with experience
