The Texas Tech University Couple, Marriage, and Family Therapy program is pleased to announce an opening for a nine-month, tenure-track, assistant/associate professor position. The position will begin Fall, 2025.



Major/Essential Functions
Responsibilities:
The position entails the following: 1) serving as a faculty member in COAMFTE-accredited master's and doctoral programs in Couple, Marriage, and Family Therapy, 2) contributing to the profession through publication and presentation of scholarly work, 3) pursuing and securing extramural funding, 4) teaching graduate (M.S. & Ph.D.) and undergraduate courses, 5) supervising couple, marriage, and family therapy practicum courses, 6) advising graduate students including thesis and dissertation committees, 7) other service duties including program-building, as well as commitment to extra-curricular activities. Service to the department, college, and university is expected, and 8) maintaining clinical activity in accordance with COAMFTE guidelines.



Required Qualifications
The Texas Tech Couple, Marriage, and Family Therapy Program is seeking experienced applicants for a tenure-track position. Qualified applicants will demonstrate an established record of scholarly publication and presentation, the ability to secure an externally funded program of research, a demonstrated and ongoing commitment to serving diverse populations, effectiveness as a teacher and supervisor, and a record of professional service. All applicants will have an earned doctorate (by time of appointment) in Couple, Marriage, and Family Therapy or a closely related area.

Preferred Qualifications
Candidates who have very strong records of scholarship supported by extramural funding and who have the proven capacity or clear potential to bring externally sponsored research to Texas Tech University are encouraged to apply. Experience working with diverse student populations and first-generation students, possession of Spanish speaking proficiency, as well as AAMFT Clinical Membership and Approved Supervisor designation, are all highly desirable.
