Pre-licensure/Pre-professional BSN & Master of Science Entry to Practice
Georgetown University School of Nursing (GUSON) seeks a full-time educator track faculty for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science Entry to Nursing Practice (MS-EN) programs. The successful candidate is expected to have three to five years academic and/or clinical teaching experience. Espouses a personal philosophy that aligns with the Georgetown University's School of Nursing mission, vision and commitment to antiracism in any and all forms. Demonstrated leadership experience and excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Preferred areas of clinical and didactic experience include aging populations, medical-surgical, public health, community health or psychiatric-mental health nursing.
Responsibilities include:
- Didactic and clinical instruction within content area of expertise
- Provide administrative leadership and support to the program in collaboration with the Senior Director for Pre-licensure/Pre-professional Programs
- Active and sustained engagement in scholarly activities
- Mentoring support of junior faculty
- Faculty advisor to pre-licensure/pre-professional nursing students
- Participation in curriculum development, program review and evaluation, accreditation activities and annual reporting reports to various external bodies.
- Engagement in SON and program level activities, scholarship, service, and mission supporting initiatives.
- Service on doctoral committees as content expert, project mentor or chair
Required Qualifications:
- Current eligibility to obtain an RN license in the District of Columbia
- Terminal degree in nursing or related field
Preferred qualifications:
- Administrative leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience in professional development
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum development
The SON is seeking a doctorally prepared faculty member committed to student formation, who is engaged in nursing education within a pre-licensure/pre-professional BSN, Master's Entry to Practice, and doctoral nursing student population. The successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal, communication, and teaching skills with demonstrated ability to serve as a strong role model for students and faculty. Administrative leadership experience with a focus on organizational leadership and program development is preferred. Current eligibility to obtain an RN license in the District of Columbia is necessary. Academic rank commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, the successful candidate is expected to have a program of scholarly inquiry with noteworthy contributions to the profession via peer-reviewed published papers, research engagement, and other dissemination efforts.

Outstanding resources support faculty research, collaboration, and teaching, and include the O'Neill Family Foundation Clinical Simulation Center, the Office of Research Support and Administration, and the Discovery Center, which is a teaching and research laboratory.
The projected salary pay range for this position is $100,000-$110,000 which represents the full range of anticipated compensation for this position. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
