The Operations Coordinator role is created to provide consistent and thorough oversight of critical aspects of the department's operation from a "back office" perspective. This position has responsibility for tracking expenditures and watching the office budget, and for keeping the Admissions Office's external-facing website, as well as the special Admitted Student Websites, up to date, accurate and dynamic to improve the user experience and the effectiveness of the website. This role also helps with creating, maintaining and updating processes within the Admissions Office database, Unite, to streamline communications with applicants and make the application process more efficient. The Operations Coordinator will assist with filling vacancies in the Admissions Office by overseeing the HR paperwork, phone screens, and interviewing schedules, providing backup across the office to help in times of heavy volume, vacations, and position vacancies. Additional duties include but are not limited to:
  • Provide support to the overall operations of the Admissions Office.
  • Oversee the budget and financial tasks of the office.
  • Manage Human Resources paperwork and hiring processes for the office.
  • Maintain all website maintenance and editing as needed, acting as the database resource person.
  • Provide additional administrative support for the Admissions Assistant with other projects as needed and assigned.


Work Interactions
This position in an important part of ensuring continuity and consistency in several foundational areas underlying the work of the Admissions Office. The Operations Coordinator reports directly to the Manager of Admissions Operations, indirectly to the Assistant Dean and Directors of Admission, and ultimately to the Dean of Admissions. This position operates at a high enough level of responsibility to take charge of critical tasks that require focus and long-term engagement, that cannot be provided by other members of the office who are pulled in multiple directions. This position will assist the Admissions Office to be as efficient as possible in the use of its resources and to present itself to potential students in the most current and responsive way possible.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive responsibility in an Admissions Office or similar setting
  • Familiarity with Unite database and experience with budgeting, Workday, Banner, and/or similar systems
  • Candidate must have superior organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as ability to communicate well with the team and juggle multiple tasks
  • Must have the ability to see the big picture and work with minimal supervision
  • Master's degree and/or 3+ years of progressive experience in relevant field preferred

Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$20.16 - $31.30

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
