Job Description Summary
This is a full-time position with the Center for Health Behavior Research (CHBR) and UPenn Prevention Research Center (PRC). The Senior Research Coordinator position will work on the UPenn PRC's Cancer Prevention and Control Research Network (CPCRN) research project and network activities.

CPCRN is a national network of researchers and healthcare and community partners who work together to advance cancer prevention and control science and reduce the burden of cancer and associated health disparities. A major goal of the UPenn CPCRN Collaborating Center is to increase health equity in Southeastern Pennsylvania and the surrounding region. During the 2024-2029 funding cycle, UPenn CPCRN Collaborating Center will conduct community- and patient-engaged research to increase risk assessment, counseling and referral to risk-stratified services for underserved/ disadvantaged and minority adults at increased risk for breast and colorectal cancer

The Senior Research Coordinator will participate in CPCRN working groups, provide local and regional technical assistance, coordinate CPCRN research activities, organize CPCRN training programs and seminars, and assist the Principal Investigator and co-Investigators as needed. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience with cancer prevention and control and community-based and/or clinical research.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day routine management and coordination of CPCRN activities.
  • Train and oversee research support staff to recruit participants, obtain informed consent, administer study protocols, enter and manage data, and conduct additional research tasks as needed.
  • Facilitate communication between the CPCRN collaborating center leadership team and community partner organizations.
  • Manage participant recruitment and field data collection.
  • Provide local/regional technical assistance for CPCRN activities.
  • Participate in CPCRN work groups.
  • Monitor project timelines and study progress.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications

Candidate should be organized and have the ability to multi-task. Must have experience working with Microsoft Office. Clinical/community-based research experience and background in cancer prevention and control is strongly preferred.

Research Coordinator Senior should have a Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree in public health or a related discipline preferred

Position is contingent upon continued funding.
