Job Summary
The BioFrontiers HPC/Virtualization Systems Administrator is a key member of the BioFrontiers IT (BIT) team, focused on administering and maintaining the BioFrontiers computing infrastructure and services. The BioFrontiers computing infrastructure includes a virtualized infrastructure, an HPC cluster, diverse storage resources, a data transfer infrastructure, a user software repository, and a configuration management Infrastructure.
This position is generally expected to respond to critical issues and incidents outside of normal business hours within a reasonable time frame, as established by the position's supervisor. This expectation is consistent with BIT's commitments to customers that many of its services will have "best effort" coverage outside of regular business hours.
