1) POSITION PURPOSE
Staff Programmer

2) ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Program and maintain CatMapper front-end and back-end programs, including SocioMap and ArchaMap applications. Both involve large database inquiries and customized search features. The position requires to design and code various front-end user interfaces to accommodate changes and case studies; program and perform multiple search algorithm testing; and frequently communicate with the project teams (ASU&SCU).
  • Optimize search function algorithms.
  • Facilitate project new prototype and proposal development.
  • Document and train future student worker.

This position requires the ability to effectively establish and maintain cooperative working relationships within a diverse multicultural environment.

1. Knowledge
Good communication skills, work with multiple diverse teams (archeologist, anthropologists, various fields of social scientists), proficient in full stack, Python and web-programming. Some data visualization and network visualization/analysis knowledge is preferred.

2 .Skills
  • Both SQL & NoSQL & Graph databases
  • Python, R, JS, HTML

3. Abilities
Be able to zoom and meet with the team regularly and respond promptly.

4. Education
MS in CS or CSE related field
5.Years of Experience
2+
