Job Summary
The individual for this position will play a supportive role for Augusta University at the Fort Eisenhower Education Service Center, representing the University at various functions and presentations. They will serve as a processing and customer service representative between Augusta University and Fort Eisenhower. They will provide exceptional customer service to new students and families seeking to attend Augusta University.
This position will manage TA contracts for all 4 military branches within the Banner system. This Site Representative will serve as POC with Fort Eisenhower ESOs to ensure compliance with utilization of Department of Defense tuition assistance for all branches. The position will maintain accuracy of all military educational portals by processing approved vouchers, invoicing, uploading grades, and updating term dates. The position will certify military students within assigned VA educational benefits.
The position will serve as a resource to students, command, military personnel, staff, and all families regarding AU educational programs at Fort Eisenhower, on main campus, and online offerings. The Site Representative will provide support for admissions and academic advising. The position will provide academic support for students in various AU programs. Be knowledgeable and compliant with state and federal regulations regarding utilization and certification of DoD and VA educational benefits, certification of benefits, and state and federal student aid eligibility.
The position will market Augusta University programs as outlined by the MOA at various locations on the Fort Eisenhower Installation. This position, in the absence of the site coordinator, complete duties such as upload catalog/courses, represent AU in a marketing environment and perform all other related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
CUSTOMER SERVICE: Assist service members and their dependents with all enrollment service functions such as recruitment, admissions, financial aid and information regarding degree offerings.
EDUCATION/DATA REPORTING: Certification of educational benefits for veterans and maintain educational enrollment information in the various branches of service portals for active-duty military and maintaining compliance of Department of Defense and Veteran Administration regulations. Provide educational advisory services to students at Fort Eisenhower.
REGULATION/GUIDELINES: Adhering to state and federal regulations and guidelines, which ensure compliance. Be knowledgeable and compliant with state and federal regulations admissions, certification of benefits, and federal student aid eligibility. Be knowledgeable and compliant with HR rules and regulations for management of personnel
OTHER DUTIES: Will be the backup at Fort Eisenhower for the MVS Site Coordinator and may be required to fulfill other functions at the request of the MVS Site Coordinator or the Director of Military & Veteran Services. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with one year of related experience; OR Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with three years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Military service and/or experience dealing with military personnel
Proven relationship building a plus
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases
Knowledge of military enrollment services provided for active-duty personnel, veterans and their dependents
Proven ability to understand and implement complex policies and procedures
Two or Three years in a customer service-related position in higher education
Working knowledge of military enrollment services provided for active-duty personnel, veterans, and their dependents which facilitates, connecting students with subject matter experts in veteran educational benefits, admission, financial aid, registration, student records, career services, and/or academic advising
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, prioritization, and customer service skills.

A strong commitment to on-going improvement
ABILITIES
Ability to function and apply professional judgement with minimal supervision while participating in office operations as part of an effective and efficient team

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F
Pay Grade: B6
Salary: $18.85/hourly - $21.59/hourly
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
