In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.
Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $110,00.00 Annually
Maximum $125,000.00 Annually
Job Summary
In collaboration with the Pomona, California campus, the Manager of Human Resources will act as a strategic partner to Human Resources ("HR") leadership, ensuring seamless implementation of HR programs by fostering collaboration, mitigating risks, and building scalable processes. Western University of Health Sciences key priorities in HR are to improve customer experience, foster a supportive culture, deliver high-quality support, and drive innovation with AI-powered solutions. The rapid pace of transformation and the global nature of this organization brings increased challenge and complexity to this HR leadership role.
The Human Resources Manager will ensure the development of human resources policies and programs that support employee engagement, productivity, and departmental and University objectives.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of:
- Experience and/or exposure to Project Management techniques/tools and Data visualization software.
- In-depth experience in at least one of the following areas: people strategy, workforce planning and analytics, organization design, HR transformation, transactions and restructuring, executive recruitment, learning/development, and change management.
Skill/Ability to:
- Proven ability to build strong partnerships, understand business patterns, and connect ideas to drive strategic outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex issues and adjust communication style to a wide variety of audiences.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data, track performance, and deliver insights that support decision-making.
- Ability to produce reports and visualizations that provide easy-to-understand information required for decision-making.
- Values and promotes humanism.
- Expectation to not only manage day-to-day operations, but also required to handle and process administrative tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
Required Education
Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of related professional level work experience.

Masters degree/Doctorate degree in human resources or related disciplines and two (2) years of related work experience.
OR
Equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Education
Juris Doctor
Preferred Experience or Training
Prefer professional/managerial level work experience in human resources within higher education.
