Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Director of Student Services, the Graduate Student Services Coordinator (GSSC) will provide administrative professional support to the Bouve Office of Graduate Student Services, housed in the Office of Student Services. The GSSC provides critical skills in office support and will be responsible for decisions concerning daily office operations, event planning, communication and correspondence with campus offices and departments, coordination of meetings, development of communications materials and data support. The position includes communication with students, and faculty alike through several different technical methods. The GSSC is a critical role in providing administrative support for graduate student administrative duties related to: Student Services, Database Management, Graduation Clearance, Registration, International Student Processing, PhD funding database records, Commencement Planning, and Graduate Awards & Processing. This position is instrumental in the success of graduate students in Bouve. This position plans, coordinates and implements program activities or special events within the department, The Coordinator is heavily involved with international students and the processes involved with their admissions and compliance to visa requirements. This person oversees functional supervision and training of student workers to include monitoring and prioritizing daily tasks. Delegates projects and tasks to work study students. Supervises and reviews projects delegated to student employees.
Qualifications:
Associate Degree, Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred; 2-3 years of administrative experience in business, health care or academic environments. Appropriate combination of education, skills and experience may be considered. Must be able to work autonomously and with many different personalities in a fast paced environment with multiple interruptions. Must have an ability to multi-task, work independently, be detail oriented, as well as exercise discretion and judgment in areas of responsibility. Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, and familiarity with or willingness to learn WordPress, Apply Yourself, Salesforce and Banner Systems and Sunapsys Database.
