About the Opportunity:
The Dean's Office of the Khoury College of Computer Sciences is extremely busy and requires an individual with proven skills in handling confidential materials, multi-tasking, and handling sensitive situations in a calm, thoughtful and professional manner.
Responsibilities:
Major responsibilities include covering the front desk of the Dean's Suite, administrative support, fielding incoming calls, scheduling meetings (campus/blue jeans/Skype), arranging for cabs, lunches & dinners for faculty and staff; managing inventory of office and kitchen supplies, assigning key access privileges and monitoring/fulfilling college operation email requests. This individual must be able to multi-task under a fast-paced environment with many distractions. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for purchases and managing expense reconciliations. They will assist with other events/activities in the College as needed. Must provide office coverage from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Qualifications:
Associates degree preferred with a minimum of 2 years' work experience, preferable in a higher education setting. Individual must have strong organization skills and be comfortable with Microsoft Office and Outlook. Person must be able to multi-task, stay calm in a somewhat hectic environment and be team oriented. Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively on behalf of the college.
