About the Opportunity:
The Office of Student Services is looking for a team player who can work a Monday through Friday schedule for 25 to 35 hours per week. There may be some flexibility in the total number of hours work, but daily presence is required.

Responsibilities:
As a key member of the graduate student services team within Bouve College Office of Student Services, the graduate academic assistant will be responsible for general administrative oversight in support of the director, student services coordinator and academic advisor.

Key responsibilities include: administering the department email inbox, processing late course registrations, and changes in academic standing, programs, majors, and grades. The assistant will be responsible for the efficient process of transfer credits, course waivers and leaves of absence. This individual will also support the graduate student services team in processing student funding and academic standing including drafting letters, filing, and uploading data and scanning to Share point.



Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and/or 3-5 years of professional administrative experience required. Experience working in a student services department preferred, although solid administrative experience in a busy office setting will be considered.

Technical skills: Be efficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of Banner and Salesforce would be a plus. Must be proficient with advanced computer knowledge, and competent in using office equipment such as copiers, scanners, fax and multi-line phone.

Organization skills: must have excellent organizational skills and be able to prioritize with multiple tasks and can work independently. Due to the varying levels at which this role must operate, self-direction, flexibility, a hands-on approach, project management and the ability to manage several initiatives and tasks simultaneously are critical for success.

Interpersonal skills: Should possess excellent communications skills, including verbal and written with editing experience. Individual will have access to sensitive information including academic probation and dismissal and act within university guidelines regarding confidential information.
