About the Opportunity:
This is a Temporary opportunity in the Bouve College of Health Sciences in the Department/Program of Physical Therapy, Movement and Rehabilitation Sciences. This position is 35 hours per week M-F and is non-benefits eligible. The PTMRS program is the integration of experiential learning and didactic education whether through use of standardized patients, communication and interaction with community consultants, participation in service learning projects, or engagement in research with our faculty.
Responsibilities:
The Temporary Administrative Assistant reports to the Chair of the Department of Physical Therapy, Movement and Rehabilitation Sciences. The Temporary Administrative Assistant will provide diversified administrative support for the PTMRS Department and contribute to the overall effectiveness and daily operations of the Office. He/She will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical services for the PTMRS Department; serve as the front desk primary contact for incoming calls and serve as the primary contact for visitors; support faculty, administrators, staff and students; dispatch and distribute mail and e-mail; Manage supply ordering/inventory for offices and labs, record meeting notes and minutes, provide event support for space reservations and catering; assist with work study students; assist with budgeting reconciliations. The Temporary Administrative Assistant needs to be flexible to take on other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred and at least one to two years of administration experience, preferably in higher education; must be extremely detailed oriented. Office management experience required. Computer proficiency, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel (especially in creating detailed spreadsheets), and PowerPoint is a must. Knowledge of SharePoint and teams outlook. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential. Must be able to work with a high degree of flexibility, with minimal daily oversight. Candidate must have strong communication, organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills both written and verbal. Must have excellent analytical and computer skills, and experience working with MS-Office.
