About the Opportunity:
Manage the provision of diverse professional administrative support to the University Honors Program and the Director of the Honors/Senior Associate Director to ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the Honors Program including general administrative operations.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the execution of multiple management tasks for the program including hiring and supervising of work/study students and other administrative staff; collecting, managing and reporting relevant data; maintaining office files; drafting and preparing correspondence; and providing services for current students and prospective students and their parents. Prepare drafts of budget projections, manage the monthly reconciliation of accounts, prepare requisitions, oversee purchasing, travel organization, travel reimbursement, personnel time tracking, and maintenance of records of purchase and payment. Liaison with Registrar's office to ensure course offerings and attributes are accurately represented on university websites and in multiple university record-keeping systems; maintain records of course enrollment and instruction; maintain database of student enrollments. Oversee the coordination of Honors Program events. Collaborate in areas of website maintenance and weekly newsletters. Staff administrative committees relevant to the Honors Program. Maintain confidentiality regarding student affairs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher with excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Strong interpersonal skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint; Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently and handle confidential materials. Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with people at all levels of the organization as well as with external constituents. Must be organized and detail oriented.
