About the Opportunity:
The position offers the perfect opportunity for an entry level position to our Transportation Department Team. Under the direction of the Director of Transportation and Fleet Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the mover/ truck driver in loading and unloading of various materials for delivery to University locations.

Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities including but not limited to:

Load and unload vehicle by hand or by use of hand truck or dolly
Pack, prepare, and protect items to be moved
Take inventory as required
Answer client questions and requests as required
Perform cleaning of trucks, tools, and equipment
Perform maintenance tasks as directed
Use moving equipment properly and safely
Snow Team member
Ability to work well in a group
Ability to take direction
Perform maintenance tasks as directed
Excellent work ethic
Demonstrated flexibility, commitment and punctuality
Ability to work well in a group
Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs, but frequently lift and move more than 100 lbs.

Qualifications:
Education: H.S diploma required
Valid MA Driver's License

Experience: 3 years of work experience in the moving industry. We provide continuing in- house education and training for the successful candidate.

Work Conditions:

Scheduled hours: 40 hrs/ week. Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Fast paced, professional environment

Requires a criminal background check as well as yearly license review

Must be able to perform other duties as directed

Requirements | Ninety days after employment employees are required to become a member of Union Local 32BJ, District 615.
