About the Opportunity:
The Assistant Director of Athletics Communications works under the general supervision of the Associate Athletics Director for Communications and in conjunction with the goals and vision of the Director of Athletics.
Responsibilities:
This position supports an athletics communications program that successfully promotes Northeastern student-athletes, coaches and athletics in all appropriate venues and that increases both public participation in local, state and national recognition of Northeastern athletics.
Qualifications:
Possession of a bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, broadcasting, journalism, advertising, event management or closely related field required; master's degree in a related field preferred. 2-4 years of experience as a student assistant, graduate assistant or professional required, in athletic communications, communications, marketing, public relations, alumni relations or broadcasting. Experience in public relations and/or marketing is strongly preferred. Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and understanding of and follows all applicable NCAA, conference and University rules and regulations.
