Job Summary

Responsible for all financial operations within Auxiliary Services to ensure quality in financial, operational, and managerial reporting. Coordinate, process, and maintain business transactions and financial affairs for assigned department(s). Advise operational directors on business transactions and availability of funding and ensure integrity and accuracy of data.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepares, reviews, and distributes monthly financial reports and queries to management and or staff
2. Reviews business, operational and financial performance and monitor general ledger accounts, and Campus Service accounts, weekly
3. Tracks expenses and revenues versus budget and ensure all Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) guidelines are followed
4. Develops five-year financials plan, department budget submissions, and mandatory fee requests for multiple business units
5. Develops Public Private Venture (PPV) reporting and analysis, perform statistical research, and analyze and identify gaps in business performance
6. Reviews, approves, and remits monthly staff journal entries
7. Reviews and approves purchase orders, payment requests, voucher adjustments, and budget amendments
8. Reviews and approves monthly account reconciliations and supervises assigned staff
9. Uses multiple business and subsidiary transaction systems to produce accounting information for reporting
10. Lead and manage accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment to ensure high performance and professional development

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Accounting, or a related business field

Required Experience
Six (6) years of experience related to position including previous management and supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Current, valid and active Certified Public Account (CPA) credentials

Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Preferred Experience
Higher education experience a plus

High level of proficiency in excel, report writing, and accounting systems
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
