Job Summary

This position will be responsible for creation, layout, and design of university materials such as brochures, flyers, catalogs, posters, etc. This position will be responsible for upholding CSU standards and printing guidelines. The position will interact with customers to advise and assist in projects to meet their needs. This position must have basic knowledge of printing principals. This position will also answer the phone and assist with customer sales. This position will be critical in production work flow and communicating production needs throughout the team.

This is a 100% revenue generated funded position with an anticipated end date of October 2025. Although funding is expected to end, additional funding could possibly be obtained to extend the position. Availability of funding will be reviewed within 60 days of funding end date to determine continued employment.

Responsibilities

Significant Duties & Responsibilities include: Layout & Design (50%) Create, design, and layout of university materials. Advises customers with layout & design projects.; Production Coord (35%) Creates production schedule for orders to be completed on time. Communicates deadlines from the customer to the team. Oversees workflow of orders through the process.; Administrative (10%) Updates orders in eQuest system. Enters orders in the eQuest system for off campus clients. Answer phones and helps customers at the front counter as needed. Supervises student employee.; Miscellaneous (5%) Assist in bindery, including cutting paper, and other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications include: Graduation from high school.; 3 yr experience in Graphic Design and/or a degree in graphic design.; 2 yr Experience in Customer Service and print production.

Proposed Salary

The proposed annualized salary range for this position is $40,253 - $43,784 and includes full benefits.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Knowledge, Skills. & Abilities include: Knowledge of the basic principles and fundamentals of printing and production.; Ability to download attachments, correct and modify as needed, and send electronic files to printers and copiers.; Ability to create and design university material.; Knowledge of various types and grades of paper.; Ability to detect defects in printed material while in process and make adjustments to correct them.; Ability to deal with customers in a pleasant and helpful manner in a fast paced environment.; Ability to troubleshoot and help students, faculty, and staff with their printing needs.; Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.

Conditions of Employment
