Temporary Senior Research Investigator (SRI) supports innovative research and health policy-related research projects conducted by investigators in the Division of Health Policy at the Perelman School of Medicine.

Job Description

The Temporary Senior Research Investigator (SRI) supports innovative research and health policy-related research projects conducted by investigators in the Division of Health Policy at the Perelman School of Medicine. Using advanced skills in applied statistics, the SRI will lead and assist others in performing analyses for several studies within The Parity Center. Duties include creating and executing statistical analysis plans for research projects; performing propensity matching and other matching techniques; conducting complex statistical analyses, including multilevel analyses, longitudinal analyses, and analyses involving modern methods of causal inference including instrumental variables; and working with faculty to develop and publish novel statistical methods that advance The Parity Center's mission.

The SRI must have the ability to work across a wide range of statistical and computer programming tools (SAS, STATA, R, SQL and Python), which are important to enable innovative research. The individual must have experience using Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services data and must have experience with propensity matching and other matching methodology. Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Philosophy, and 5 to 7 years of postdoctoral experience is required.
