Job Summary:
This position provides administrative and technical support to the Electronic Security Division of the Police Department by issuing campus Access Control Badges; assigning authorized card access privileges; administrating system software; investigating and requesting repair for system problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee's the issuance of badges, clearances, and programming of these respective organizations and buildings.
- Screens all requests for anomalies and completes data entry utilizing CCURE 9000, IRIS mapping software and OIT IDM Passport, for all personnel, equipment, and alarm profiles.
- Compiles CCURE reports to analyze issues and/or addressing management concerns related to operations of badged personnel, door history/usage, access history/usage, or monitored equipment logs.
- Manages access control and security equipment installed within CU Anschutz properties.
- Create, update, and revise forms, policies, and procedures for both internal and external customers.
Work Location:
Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

The Security Badging Office (SBO) is a part of the Electronic Security Division within the University Police Department which enhances the security and safety of campus personnel and property via alarms, computer-controlled doors, as well as access control badges. They provide badges and clearances to staff, faculty, students, residents, affiliates, visitors, contractors, and others to access buildings and other secure laboratories on campus. They maintain a database of about 40,000+ records, as well as control their cardholder records and access assigned. A recent survey shows that the majority of campus constituents support our Police Department and three-quarters feel safe or very safe here.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of general clerical or administrative service experience.
- Substitution: A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to three (3) years.
Colorado law requires that candidates for state government jobs be residents of Colorado at the time of application.

- Knowledge of electronic security systems and software.
- Knowledge of and ability to use badging cameras and printers.
- Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency.
- Experience with data entry and maintaining electronic records.
- Experience creating or generating Crystal reports.
- Experience using electronic security systems/software.
- Experience tracking inventories and ordering supplies.
- Experience creating and maintaining instructions and manuals.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range for this position has been established as:
4,166 - $4,583 per month.
The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is eligible for overtime compensation.
