Purpose:
Santa Clara University School of Law is pleased to invite lateral applications for a tenure-track position to begin in the 2025-2026 academic year. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished scholar who has a strong record of publication and ambitious plans for future scholarly work. We welcome applications from any area of scholarly expertise, but we presently have specific curricular needs in the areas of Property, Criminal Law/Evidence, Privacy, and International Law (private or public).
As one of the most diverse law schools in the United States, Santa Clara Law School has a longstanding commitment to supporting a diverse and inclusive faculty, staff, and student body. In filling this position, we seek to welcome a candidate with experience and demonstrated ability in teaching and mentoring students from groups that have historically been underrepresented in the legal profession, including first generation students, and those coming from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have outstanding academic credentials, including a J.D. from an accredited law school or an equivalent degree (such as a Ph.D. in a related field). Candidates should have a strong record of scholarly publication and an ambitious agenda for future research.
