Job Description
The University of Tennessee's Career Gateway is looking to fill the temporary assignment of Operations Assistant with WUOT. Through temporary assignment placements, Career Gateway allows the opportunity to work with various departments while gaining valuable work experience. Each assignment has differing pay rates, work schedules, and lengths of assignments. The length of assignments is subject to change. Please note that Career Gateway temporary positions do not have benefits, annual leave, or sick leave accrual.

Length of Assignment: Approximately 2 months

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM

Rate of Pay: $18.00/hour


Responsibilities
  • Provides complex administrative and clerical support to WUOT's underwriting (sales) and traffic (logging and tracking) functions.
  • Enables sales staff to maximize their time for selling and servicing accounts.
  • Creates, updates, coordinates, and reconciles underwriting schedules.
  • Processes scripts using WUOT's Allegiance and Enco software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Handles Underwriting Accounts Receivable.
  • Performs daily broadcast log duties.
  • Enters underwriting contracts into the Allegiance Traffic software.
  • Schedules underwriting flights within the Allegiance Traffic software.
  • Assigns underwriting scripts to WUOT hosts for recording.
  • Ensures hosts have successfully recorded assigned scripts.
  • Handles client correspondence as directed by sales staff, utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Prints the daily program log.
  • Reconciles daily program logs to verify the accurate broadcast of scheduled underwriting announcements.
  • Assists the Director and Assistant Director(s) with information gathering for reports to regulatory agencies and/or organizations.
    Maintains extreme detail orientation in all duties.

Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
