About the Position:

Provides visionary leadership and strategic direction for initiatives that foster meaningful community partnerships and enhance student success across the enrollment continuum. Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management, this role is responsible for developing, implementing, and assessing programs that support student access, retention, community engagement and enrollment growth. The role also oversees high-impact student success programs and community-based outreach strategies, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and equity-minded practices.
Essential Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Public Administration, Marketing, or a related field required. Doctorate (Ed.D., Ph.D., or equivalent) strongly preferred. One to five years of experience in community outreach, higher education admissions, enrollment management, or a closely related field. Demonstrated success in building trust-based relationships with parents, guardians, and community organizations. Evidence of successfully leading projects, managing budgets, or supervising teams (can be through direct or indirect leadership roles) Strategic Thinking and Leadership: Ability to conceptualize and guide complex outreach and recruitment strategies toward measurable outcomes. Exceptional Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Adept at engaging a wide variety of stakeholders, including parents, community leaders, and institutional partners. Cultural Competency: Skilled in designing inclusive programs and communications for diverse socioeconomic and cultural audiences. Organizational and Project Management: Proficient in balancing multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail. Data-Driven Decision Making: Experience using analytics or customer relationship management (CRM) systems to inform strategies and track performance. Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Able to pivot in response to shifting priorities and adept at identifying creative solutions.
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to complete the background check satisfactorily may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.

This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) position under the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act. CSAs are responsible for reporting allegations of Clery Act Crimes reported to them or that they witness. CSA training is required.
Multiple positions may be hired from this recruitment based on the strength of the applicant pool.
