Job Summary:

This is a full time IT Sr Professional position in the Colorado Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CCTSI), as a Web Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing user-friendly web interfaces. This position requires a strong emphasis on front-end development and expertise in PowerApps. Your primary responsibility will be to create responsive and visually appealing designs that enhance user experience and engagement.

This role involves translating business requirements and functional specifications into intuitive and engaging web interfaces. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining front-end web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React or Angular. Additionally, you will be creating and managing PowerApps solutions to streamline processes and enhance productivity. The focus will be on creating responsive designs that provide a seamless user experience across various devices.

Examples of Work Performed:

Application and Development: 60%

Develop intuitive and engaging web interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React or Angular.
Leverage PowerApps to develop and configure custom business applications.
Collaborate with backend developer to ensure seamless integration and functionality of web applications.
Focus on user-centered design principles to create responsive designs that provide a seamless user experience across various devices.
Translate business requirements and functional specifications into user-friendly and visually appealing web interfaces
Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and improve user experience.

Dev-Opps and Technical support: 40%

Continuous interaction and collaboration with back-end developer in design;Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document their requirements effectively, ensuring that all project goals and expectations are clearly defined and met.
Possess an in-depth understanding of existing workflows and the ability to integrate a web application smoothly, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
Demonstrate flexibility in adapting workflows to best incorporate new technology; Conduct thorough testing of applications to identify and resolve bugs, ensuring reliability and high-performance standards.
Conduct regular code reviews to maintain code quality and adhere to best practices; Perform additional job-related duties as required

Work Location:

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:

Intermediate Professional Level:

A bachelor's degree in computer science, management/computer information systems, computer engineering, information technology, or a directly related field from an accredited institution
1 year of professional level experience

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

- A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

Senior Level Professional:

A bachelor's degree in computer science, management/computer information systems, computer engineering, information technology, or a directly related field from an accredited institution
Two years of professional level experience that includes front-end Web application development and Web design.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience of ColdFusion, Java or C#
Working knowledge of SQL databases, including Postgres, MariaDB, and MS SQL Server
Have a good understanding of SQL language
Some experience in database administration and development

Competencies: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Understanding of MS PowerApp development
Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
Knowledge of either JQuery, Bootstrap, React, pr AngularJS
Familiarity with requirements elicitation, configuration, business process design, testing, and support
Ability to develop applications and databases in compliance with HIPAA regulations and security best practices
Diplomatic disposition and customer service orientation with excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language
Detail-oriented self-starter with outstanding interpersonal skills, and ability to establish and maintain good customer and end-user relations
Ability to understand study design requirements in order to facilitate database configuration
Ability to work with minimal supervision, yet ask questions when necessary
Ability to collaborate with coworkers in a team environment on complex projects, team player attitude
Ability to learn quickly, ability to adapt to changes in technology and its intended use
Ability to coordinate and prioritize several simultaneous tasks with potentially conflicting priorities
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as

($66,902 - $85,100) = Senior Professional

($61,884 - $78,717) = IT Intermediate Professional

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
