Job Description
The University of Tennessee's Career Gateway is looking to fill the temporary assignment of Accounting Assistant with Audiology and Speech Pathology. Through temporary assignment placements, Career Gateway allows the opportunity to work with various departments while gaining valuable work experience. Each assignment has differing pay rates, work schedules, and lengths of assignments. The length of assignments is subject to change. Please note that Career Gateway temporary positions do not have benefits, annual leave, or sick leave accrual.

Length of Assignment: Approximately a year

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM

Rate of Pay: $15.00/hour

Responsibilities
The growing department of Audiology and Speech Pathology is seeking a dedicated Accounting Assistant to support day-to-day accounting duties including:

Accounts receivable
Accounts payable
Payroll
Travel
Ledgers
Deposits
UT Hearing and Speech Center patient account reconciliation
Asset management.

Skills:

Accounting
Accounts payable
Accounts receivable
Date entry
Electronic records management

Potential for transition to full time permanent position.

Qualifications
Required:

Associates degree
1 year of experience

Preferred:

Bachelors Degree
3 years of experience
Experience in healthcare or with electronic medical records is a plus.
