WHAT YOU'LL DO
Under the administrative direction of the Vice Chancellor of Institutional Effectiveness, the Associate Vice Chancellor of Strategic Partnerships, Enrollment and Advancement directs, plans, organizes, administrates, implements, evaluates, and develops policy for economic workforce development career education programs, dual enrollment academic and student support initiatives in collaboration with three community colleges across the District.

WHERE YOU'LL WORK
The District Administrative Center, centrally located in Camarillo, oversees administrative functions, and provides leadership and services to the three colleges in support of VCCCD's mission.

WHO WE ARE
The Ventura County Community College District (VCCCD) is a public community college district serving residents throughout Ventura County. VCCCD's three colleges - Moorpark College, Oxnard College, and Ventura College-offer programs for transfer to four-year colleges and universities; Associate and Bachelor's degrees, career education certificates, dual enrollment programs for K-12 and adult diploma-seeking individuals; as well as, economic workforce development, and continuing education for skills improvement.

Representative Duties


Plan, formulate, implement, and promote academic success initiatives, student support opportunities, Career Technical Education, and workforce development and dual enrollment programs throughout the District and region. E

Develop strategies and provide recommendations for strengthening current planning and partnerships and for new growth opportunities. E

Direct the development, acquisition, and management of external funding opportunities for the district that promote the district's mission and goals. E

Attract new business/industry and expand existing business/industry by providing workforce development leadership, support, and services to colleges, state and local community, and economic development leaders. E

Assist in the guidance, management, and organization of the District Administrative Center's (DAC) strategic planning process, accountability, implementation practices, and program review. E

Administrate district-wide consortiums, as assigned; participate in fiscal and programmatic oversight and planning for all instructional services provided by consortiums; consortiums include all high school districts, Adult Education, the Ventura County Offices of Education-Superintendent of Schools, Workforce Investment Board, California Department of Employment Development Department, community-based organizations, and other education and training providers. E

Serve as the District's liaison for economic and workforce development and dual enrollment with the California Community College system office, county, state, and federal agencies, elected officials, business and industry partners, high schools, universities, and K- 12 partners. E

Work with college administrators and faculty to coordinate and conduct evaluations; develop and implement an effective system of evaluation for student and program outcomes in Dual Enrollment, Career Technical Education and Economic Development areas. E

Develop the Grants, Resources, Initiatives, and Partnerships to support strategic initiatives, mutual agreements, and trainings within the County as well as districtwide projects and grants to support academic and student support services improvements and sustainable innovations. E

Facilitate new grant initiatives; collaborate with college academic and support services divisions to ensure grant alignment with industry, academia, and County partnership needs with its K-12, university, and business partners. (Dual Enrollment, College Preparedness Initiatives, Completion Initiatives, Economic Mobility Initiatives, etc.) E

Collaborate with college foundations and other key partners to develop master agreements, promote broader interactions, and effectively partner with college leadership on the broad scope of external partnerships. E

Oversee the development and administration of the department budgets; oversee the maintenance of financial records and controls to ensure fiscal accountability; ensure the timely reporting of expenditures. E

Ensure the viability and legality of assigned programs, improve program processes, and maintain established academic and legislative standards. E

Serve as the point of contact for private or public entities seeking information, resources, and solutions for workforce training, job development, and business creation or expansion. E

Select, train, supervise, and evaluate staff. E

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications


1. Possession of a master's degree; and

2. One year of formal training, internship, or leadership experience reasonably related to the administrator's administrative assignment.

All coursework must be from a recognized accredited college or university.

SALARY RANGE

$13,722.67/month to $18,389.00/month

With a doctorate, add $7,008.48/year

STARTING SALARY
Dependent on education and experience

Fringe benefits include family medical, dental, life, and vision insurance plans. The work year is 12 calendar months, including 20 vacation days per year, two floating holidays, and an additional three days off during the winter break.

D.) Official or unofficial copies of college/university transcripts demonstrating attainment of minimum qualifications. Transcripts must show the degree title and the date the degree was conferred or the degree will not be considered for the purpose of determining if you meet minimum qualifications. Diplomas will not be accepted in lieu of transcripts. An official copy of your transcripts will be required upon being hired.
