Job Summary

The Administrative Assistant II position will provide executive level support to the Assistant Vice Presidents of the Augusta University (AU) Information Technology Department. He/She will serve as a functional administrator for policy processes, scheduling and Information Technology. The Administrative Assistant will play an essential part in streamlining processes with automated solutions for both internal and external customers. This individual will work as an integral part of the IT Business Services team to support the Information Technology Department.

Responsibilities

The duties include, but are not limited to:

SUPPORT: Coordinate schedules, meetings, and provide support to the Information Technology department

POINT OF CONTACT: Serve as point of contact for departmental operations

DEPARTMENT EVENTS: Coordinate department events including monthly conferences, meetings, research seminars, and other special events

PRESENTATIONS: Ensure presentations are recorded including editing, creating survey in Survey Monkey, and posting to website

CUSTOMER SERVICE: Provide customer service to departmental staff and other internal/external customers by answering questions and providing information; assist with conference room requests

OTHER DUTIES: Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and four years of progressively responsible administrative support experience; OR High School diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accredited organization and seven years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support positions.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years of progressively responsible administrative support experience.

Develop and maintain effective working relationships, while providing effective and responsive service to the department and customers

Ability to use standard office equipment including multi-functional printer.

Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Days; Monday - Friday

Pay Band: B5

Salary: $17.88/hourly - $21.63/hourly

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position

Conditions of Employment
