Job Summary:
This position includes laboratory-based translational research on mechanistic studies into chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) structure/function and defining how CAR structure impacts brain tumor response and resistance. The postdoctoral fellow will conduct experiments and assist with project planning and data interpretation, as well as lead new approaches to experimental design.
Key responsibility is to perform the project as defined in the funded grant on the transcriptional control of response to radiation.
- Responsible for development and performance of project.
- Maintain accurate lab notes and primary data.
- Work independently with supervision from Dr. Dahl.
- Present data to lab and group lab meetings.
- Write project summaries and manuscripts.
- Supervise students rotating through lab.
Work Location:
Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- Doctor in Philosophy (PhD) in Cancer biology/molecular biology/biochemistry or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of cellular or molecular immunology experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with elucidation of TCR or BCR signaling pathways.
- Experience with cloning, PCR and transfection/transduction techniques.
- Previous Experience with CAR-T biology and in vivo modeling.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency with flow cytometry
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent writing skills
- Demonstrates the proficiency in computer software.
- Competence in basic molecular and cell biology assays.
- Able to troubleshoot, design experiments, and collaborate amongst peers.
- Ability to follow and maintain protocols when handling hazardous materials.
- Able to work independently within a large collaborative environment.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
$61,008 to $66,492.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
